Fluid States at Boston Sculptors Gallery

Fluid States, an installation of new sculpture by Julia Shepley, will open at the Boston Sculptors Gallery on Wednesday, September 5th and continue through Sunday, October 7th, 2006. There will be two SOWA First Friday artist receptions on September 7th and October 5th, from 5-8 PM. The receptions are free and open to the public.
Fluid States includes the installation Seeking Level. Spilling across the gallery wall, cast glass water-droplets form trails of knotted black and white cord anchored by oversized rippling glass buttons. The result is a three dimensional choreographed drawing incorporating light and shadow.
